Juvenile Injured in I-75 Shooting; Suspect Arrested

CINCINNATI — A man is in custody following a shooting along Interstate 75 Tuesday afternoon that left a juvenile injured, according to Cincinnati police.

Officers responded shortly after 1 p.m. to reports of gunfire on the southbound lanes near the Western Hills Viaduct. Authorities say shots were fired inside a moving vehicle during an apparent dispute.

The juvenile victim was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. Police have not released the victim’s age.

The suspect has been charged with multiple counts of felonious assault and improper discharge of a firearm. Investigators say the incident appears to be isolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Traffic was temporarily slowed during the investigation but has since resumed normal flow.

The case remains under investigation.
